Filippo Nishino
President and member of the management committee

Filippo is a business professional with over 18 years of experience, deeply engaged in humanitarian missions and causes. Currently he's the CEO of Hepius Group, he has also managed several industrial companies as CEO and president. Formerly he worked as private equity associate and as corporate finance consultant. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, German and English.

Mr. Nishino holds a MBA from Politecnico di Milano, a MSc in Corporate Finance and a BSc in International Commerce with summa cum laude from Università degli Studi di Milano.
Evelyn Guerra Kläy
Vice-president and member of the management committee

Evelyn has been involved in accounting and business management for over 30 years. Her experience was first gained in the fiduciary field and later in the rehabilitation and orthopaedics sector. Evelyn is very familiar with the activities of the sector from an administrative point of view and makes her extensive knowledge available to further professionalise SwissLimbs in administrative processes. After graduating as a commercial clerk, she attended school to obtain the federal fiduciary certificate. She speaks Italian, French and has a good knowledge of German and English.
Daniele Kläy
Technical Director and member of the management committee

Daniele is a certified master in orthotics and prosthetics with over 17 years of experience in rehabilitation and orthopaedics and a background in construction and repair specialist for automotive, nautical and aeronautical composite structures. His vast experience ranges from providing prosthetic and orthotic solutions and training of orthopaedic technicians in service. He is committed to SwissLimbs by providing technical expertise and solving the most challenging rehabilitation cases. He is fluent in Italian, Swiss-German, German, French and English.

Mr. Kläy holds a Master degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Bundesfachschule für Orthopädie-Technik, Dortmund – Germany and a federal diploma as Orthotist and Prosthetist, Switzerland, achieved with honours from Fondazione Luigi Brentani.
Rebeca Alves de Oliveira
Member of the management committee

Rebeca is a compressive therapy and breast-care specialist, deeply committed to humanitarian missions and causes. She managaes to bring prosthetic solutions to women who have undergone a mastectomy and patients with lymphedema or lipedema. She speaks fluent Italian and Portuguese. Mrs. Alves de Oliveira has performed specialized training courses in breast care and compression therapy.
Pietro Camenisch
Operations and Fundraising Manager

Pietro has twenty years of experience in a multinational active in the development of implants for internal fixation, as a Design & Manufacturing engineer.
Over the years he has accumulated experience in modeling and printing prototypes and products with the aid of 3D printers with FDM technology. He was also a developer of tools and equipment to support the production and quality departments. Oriented to production according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA (Food & Drug Administration) and CE 0123 (TUV) standards, he contributed to the preparation of the technical documentation necessary for the production cycle.

He is fluent in Italian, English and German.
Marinella Fusi
Administrative secretary

For over 35 years Marinella has been involved in the administrative and development management of special projects in the field of rehabilitation for disabled children. Marinella is fully skilled to cope all the challenges of this role and will make her extensive knowledge available in order to further professionalize SwissLimbs in its administrative procedures and to make our organization even more efficient through the improvement of the quality of the processes.
Hervè Schmidt
Senior Orthoapedic technician and 3d cad/cam specialist

Hervé is a certified orthotist and prosthetist with over 26 years of experience in rehabilitation and orthopaedics. He graduated in 2001 by attending courses at the Ecole Professionnelle EPSIC in Lausanne and has a particular passion for information technology applied to the orthopedic branch. His vast experience ranges from providing prosthetic and orthotic solutions and training of orthopaedic technicians in service. He is committed to SwissLimbs by providing technical expertise and focusing at 3D cad/cam trainings. He is fluent in Italian and French and communicate also in German and English.
Daniel Bohnsack
Expert Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Technician

Daniel has only recently joined the Swisslimbs team. He has many years of varied experience in orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology. His strengths lie in clinical orthopaedics and traumatology and he has in-depth knowledge of the treatment of ulcers and diabetic foot syndrome. His expertise also includes compression therapy for lymphoedema and lipoedema as well as many areas of pediatric orthopaedics. Several years of consulting work in the field of rehabilitation technology rounds off his broad knowledge and provides him with the basis to develop, manufacture and adapt a wide range of aid solutions; always striving to help his patients regain, improve and maintain their mobility and quality of life.

He successfully completed his training as an orthopaedic technician and brace manufacturer in 2005 at a long-established medical supply retailer in northern Germany. He has been practicing his passion for his profession in Switzerland since 2008.

Daniel speaks fluent German and Italian, can communicate in English and has a basic knowledge in French language.

Francesco Vitaliano
Logistics

Francesco, an Italian citizen, obtained a geometry diploma in 2001.
He has demonstrated solid organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills, acquired during his work and training.
He has held various professional positions as surveyor, warehouse worker, purchasing clerk and laser cutter in various companies and businesses.
Currently, Francesco is part of our team in the logistics department, actively contributing to operational activities and ensuring effective management of logistics flows.
Tomek Matiević
CE – Specialist

Tomek is a manager and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in Swiss, German and Italian companies. For 20 years he managed technical departments in Swiss companies developing and specializing production machines. In the last 10 years his focus changed as consultant to technical documentation and communication and to CE certifications. His expertise is in demand from small to large companies from all branches. He is fluent in Swiss-German, German, Italian, English, Croatian.

Tomek holds a Master degree in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich and a post diploma in business management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich. He is also a certified CE specialist.

Francesco, an Italian citizen, obtained a geometry diploma in 2001.
He has demonstrated solid organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills, acquired during his work and training.

Emmanuel Kalanzi
SwissLimbs Ambassador for Africa, CPO & Chief Trainer – Uganda

Emmanuel is a highly experienced Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist, committed and passionate to humanitarian causes and projects. He works for AVSI Foundation Uganda at Gulu Regional Orthopedic Workshop “GROW”, and has over 40 years of experience in the profession.

He is SwissLimbs representative in Africa and responsible for the implementation of training modules to CPOs on the field.
He is fluent in English, Luganda and speaks also Swahili and Acholi.
Claude Mushi
MPOW Manager and Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist CPO – Tanzania

Claude holds a Bachelor degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College, inTanzania. He has a background in project management, marketing and administration. He has worked in several companies for the past four years and acted as general manager in Kibo Natural Water company limited based in Kilimanjaro and Tai Five hotel based in Mwanza. He is fluent in English and Swahili.

He is manager of the Mwanza Prosthetics & Orthotics Workshop MPOW, which was rehabilitated by SwissLimbs in 2018.

Dr. Bryceson Kiwelu obtained a doctor of medicine degree from Muhimbili University College of Dar es Salaam University, a Master’s degree in orthopedic and trauma rom Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College of Tumaini University, a Certificate in hospital management under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a certificate of principal of fracture management in Davos-Swiss land, a Certificate in advance trauma management from Fukui Prefectural University in Japan and a Certificate in arthroscopy and arthroplasty from Yonsen University in South Korea.
Dr. Bryceson Loti Kiwelu is orthopedic and trauma surgeon with over 10 years of working experience, a certified senior assessor of Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives under Joint Commission International (JCI), the co -Founder of Tanzania true Exposure (TTE) Company, the former director of health services at Kibaha Education Center and the former orthopedic surgeon and chairman of quality improvement and assurance team at St Francis hospital in Ifakara in Morogoro. Now, he has been appointed Hospital Director for Desire Charitable Hospital and Rehabilitation Centrer in Kibaha, SwissLimbs' first hospital, operational from 2021.
Stella Kitali

Stella holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics Hons from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and a Master's degree in Strategic Management from ESAMI & Maastricht School of Management in Arusha, Tanzania. For the past 16 years, Stella has held a leadership position in Pride Tanzania and Swissport Tanzania Plc, achieving record-breaking results. Thanks to this position, Stella has had the opportunity to travel inside and outside Tanzania, especially in Africa and Europe. Stella is an experienced ground handling consultant at airports, holds a leading position and has experience in customer and management systems management, including 6S Kaizen.

She is the director of the Desire Charitable Hospital and Rehabilitation center in Kibaha, Tanzania, SwissLimbs' first hospital, which will be operational from 2021.

Orthopedic technician at the DCHRC - Tanzania

Nsengiyuma graduated with a degree in prosthetics and orthotics from TATCOT (Tanzania Training Center for Orthopedic Technology) in Moshi in Tanzania in 2014. He has worked in the field of prosthetics and orthoses and in the conservative management of orthopedic cases for seven years, both in hospitals and rehabilitation centers in Tanzania. From August 2021 he is employed as an orthopedic technician at the SwissLimbs rehabilitation hospital in Kibaha, Tanzania.
Henrique Luis Matsinhe
Orthopedic technician of the orthopedic center of the Institute Obra Dom Orione in Maputo - Mozambique

Henrique Luis Matsinhe, 32 years old, Mozambican Nationality, Medium level orthoprosthetic technician, (Diploma) graduated from the Institute of Health Sciences of Maputo-Mozambique in 2013.

Since then he has worked as an Orthoprosthetic Technician at the Central Hospital of Maputo.

He has already benefited from 3 trainings organized by SwissLimbs, two in Mozambique in 2018 and 2021 and one in Tanzania in 2019.

Since 2021, he has been employed at the Don Orione Orthopedic Center, implemented by SwissLimbs, where he serves as the orthopedic technician in charge.
Dr. Bernardo Gomes
Orthopedic technician & SwissLimbs' trainer

Bernardo graduated in orthopedics from the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde in Lisbon and has been working with the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC since 2017 as an orthopedic technician and project manager.

He has worked for the Red Cross in Myanmar, Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea-Bissau and Niger, where he is currently based. As a volunteer, he works with SwissLimbs as a trainer during missions.
