Who we are


SwissLimbs is a not-for-profit organization based in Switzerland. We accomplish initiatives in the public interest in Switzerland and abroad, in particular in the field of rehabilitation and ortho-prosthetic services, high-mobility artificial limbs for amputees and disabled people. We also support related projects in education, culture, medical science, research and development cooperation.

Our team is committed to the highest ethical standards, integrity and passion for life. We combine professional experiences in prosthetics, rehabilitation, engineering and research. We adopt and research innovative solutions that will drastically improve the lives of amputees.

SwissLimbs Team

Filippo Nishino

Filippo is a business professional with over 13 years of experience, deeply engaged in humanitarian missions and causes. He managed several industrial companies as CEO and President and was director of the Industrial Operations of Kering and Gucci. Formerly he worked as  private equity associate at RP3, an investment fund based in Milan and as corporate finance consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, German and English.

Mr. Nishino holds a MBA from Politecnico di Milano, a MSc in Corporate Finance and a BSc in International Commerce with summa cum laude from Università degli Studi di Milano.


Daniele Kläy
Technical Director

Daniele is a certified master in orthotics and prosthetics with over 17 years of experience in rehabilitation and orthopaedics and a background in construction and repair specialist for automotive, nautical and aeronautical composite structures. His vast experience ranges from providing prosthetic and orthotic solutions and training of orthopaedic technicians in service. He is committed to SwissLimbs by providing technical expertise and solving the most challenging rehabilitation cases. He is fluent in Italian, Swiss-German, German, French and English.

Mr. Kläy holds a Master degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Bundesfachschule für Orthopädie-Technik, Dortmund – Germany and a federal diploma as Orthotist and Prosthetist, Switzerland, achieved with honours from Fondazione Luigi Brentani.


Roberto Agosta
Executive Director

Roberto was born in Lugano, Switzerland and trained in business administration. He worked for a swiss bank for 4 years then spent 12 years working with humanitarian projects in Africa and 8 years working in training for development in non-profit in Switzerland. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, German, French and English.

Mr. Agosta holds a Master in Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management (MASHLM) from USI ( Università della Svizzera Italiana) and a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Cooperation and Development from SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland).


Tomislav Matiević
CE – Specialist

Tomek  is a manager and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in Swiss, German and Italian companies. For 20 years he managed technical departments in Swiss companies developing and specializing production machines. In the last 10 years his focus changed as consultant to technical documentation and communication and to CE certifications. His expertise is in demand from small to large companies from all branches. He is fluent in Swiss-German, German, Italian, English, Croatian.

Mr. Matiević holds a Master degree in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich and a post diploma in business management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich. He is also a certified CE specialist.


Helvio Conti Rossini
3d Modeller and Printing Specialist

He is an experienced web and 3d designer. He is passionate in arts, technology and skilled tattooer.
He develops and implements 3d solutions to support our patients and orthopaedic technicians. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese and speaks English and German.

Mr. Rossini holds a diploma in Web Design, Senac – Brazil and Communication Web Marketing, Switzerland.


Tommaso Roveda
Occupational Therapist – Ergotherapist

Tommaso is a BSc Occupational Therapist graduated in the University of Pavia (Italy), working as a freelancer and consultant. He is fluent in Italian and English.




Samuel Mello Medeiros
Marketing Specialist

Self-taught in illustration since the age of 10, he works as a graphic designer and creative director for advertising campaigns and photographer with a 37-year-old baggage of experience. To created campaigns in Brazil, Italy and Switzerland for customers like, CPqD telebras – Brazil, Tecumseh compressors -USA, Standa supermarkets, Roadstar HiFi stereo, caffè chicco d’oro. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese and speaks English.

Emmanuel Kalanzi
SwissLimbs Ambassador for Africa, CPO & Chief Trainer – Uganda

Emmanuel is a highly experienced Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist, committed and passionate to humanitarian causes and projects. He works for AVSI Foundation Uganda at Gulu Regional Orthopedic Workshop “GROW”, and has over 40 years of experience in the profession.
He is SwissLimbs representative in Africa and responsible for the implementation of training modules to CPOs on the field. He is fluent in English, Luganda and speaks also Swahili and Acholi.


Claude Mushi
M.O.C. Manager and Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist – Tanzania

Claude is a certified bachelor degree holder prosthetist and orthotist from Mwanza, Tanzania. He has a background in project management, marketing and administration. He has worked in several companies for the past four years and acted as general manager in Kibo Natural Water company limited based in Kilimanjaro and Tai Five hotel based in Mwanza. He is fluent in English and Swahili.

Claude holds a Bachelor degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College – Tanzania


Sanad Waleed
Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist – Jordan

Sanad is certified in orthotics and prosthetics, he assesses patient need and their physical abilities; design, fabricate, fit, evaluate and repair prosthetic (artificial limbs) and orthotic devices (braces and supports) or supervises these activities; he provides related advises for beneficiaries. Moreover, he ensures the high quality for material and equipments needed for SwissLimbs humanitarian missions. He is fluent in Arabic and speaks English.

Mr. Sanad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from the University of Jordan.
